Praful Anchaliya – Sr. Manager

Warm greetings to Mr. Ankur Mishra, Madam Governor, Madam Principal, esteem faculty members & to fellow students...

8 years down the memory lane, I was just like one of u, a student of this very prestigious school. Though I just stayed here for my +2, but today makes me thoroughly nostalgic of the times I spent here... be it the school building, the teachers, my classroom etc...

In the able guidance of my honorable teachers, I was able pull my act together and eventually pursue the engineering dream

Now, as a normal growing teenager I also had the big dream of being a professional boasting the formal attire, flashing an ID of an IT biggie in the market... but in my pursuit I came across many like me, following the trend. This is the moment when I questioned my uniqueness and without a doubt I could not find an answer.

This fact was highlighted when I was doing my MBA in Dubai where I saw the recruiter walks in and flips the CVs like it were a flipbook for him. There I came to know, he was looking for that extra bit on the CV & that extra 'ladies & gentleman' was this colored logo of Certification, "The Microsoft Specialist".
So, when this was brought  to our attention for the western Rajasthan Belt, we immediately took a go decision on this focusing on our town.... & the flag of Jodhpur was held high by "Jai, accompanied by others in Compudon 2010-11".

"COMPUDON 2011" is INDIA's 1st Ever Official Championship on Microsoft Office, which is testing students' skills through Microsoft® Office Specialist(MOS) certification exam on any one application from Microsoft Office Word, Excel® and PowerPoint®. The 5 India Champions(1 each in Word/Excel®/PowerPoint® 2007 &Word /Excel®2010) will represent India and compete at the Worldwide Competition organized by Certiport between July 31, 2011 - August 03, 2011 in San Diego (USA).
The competitions were on two versions of Microsoft Office, 2003 and 2007.
Unfortunately/fortunately, we had 5 finalists from that competition and Jai led the country by securing the first position in India on MS-Office 2003 and made all of us proud by winning the competition by merely 7 seconds to the student who stood as runner-up.
It is clear evidence that how intensely competitive this market has become. Be it education, be it business, it’s difficult to carve a niche for you. It’s not easy to secure Rank 1, or let me put it this way; it’s even not easy to beat the second best in the race

We all lead a very subdued  life here... the societal pressure restrains us to take that one step-ahead which is required to be stand out from the crowd

Yes India is a developing country & Jodhpur is a developing city, so developing it will take years for the fortune 500 companies to even look at us. So, obviously, you will need to stand out from the crowd and make the difference. What we lack is validation and a clear assessment of these skills

I am sure there will be a very few visionaries who think right. All it takes is a goal a motive and from there on one builds his success story what it takes is the thought and I am wish to see a visionary and a thought leader in one and all here.

I will say this for Jai, that yes, he had a vision, he had in his mind that yes, I know where am I headed and I will do it irrespective of whosoever is competing with me. So, dear students, this will is a humble request to all of you that have a vision, may sound really abstract and vague at this moment to most of you . But pose this question to yourself today ---- HOW DIFFERENT ARE YOU FROM THE ONE standing in front of you...? I am sure the answers would definitely lead you to do some serious thinking.

Of course, the continuous efforts of Mr. Manoj. Mr. Udhav & Mr. Vincent handling this competition cannot be ignored. Their guidance has proved to be the best for the students. Thank You Sir.

On behalf of Microsoft | Learning, Cyberlearning – India & Cyberyards, a brief acknowledgement and a word of thanks to Mishra Sir & Madam Principal, for incorporating this competition with Central Academy School, without whose support, this ceremony wouldn’t have been possible. Thank You Sir, Thank You Ma’am. We heartily appreciate your assistance in this regard and hope this association continues for years to come.

And I wish you good luck; keep the spirits of the school & your city & country flying high!
